Context: The words and the person are related, the person is Japanese musician 'Tooboe' and the lyrics are a rough translate of his song 'Heart'

Layers:
Person:
Japanese Musician and vocaloid composer Tooboe - picked because he was my top artist of 2025, and the Spotify wrapped had come out just a few days prior, so was
listing to the music a
lot and really liked this main visual / image of him he uses on his social media. Really expressive and recognisable pose that works well as a silhouette.
Lyrics:
As previously discussed. Was the easiest to pick which colour to use for it, as the very neon orange is very striking, and the serif font is invocative of something like a nirvana design, which whilst not intentional, works well. For future risoworks I want to use my own fonts rather than ones i find on adobe or online.
Trains:
Taken on the same day as the printing slot. Something like platform 1 at Leeds train station - spotted after getting off my own train to head to uni where I printed all of the designs. I really liked how it looked on the day, with how different that each of the trains looked, and how perfectly they lined up on their own platforms.
Flowers:
Comes from one of the first ever photos I took with my canon camera on the day that it arrived. I used the macro mode to take the photo which really captured a lot of detail in the image and I was really pleased with it. This riso design was all very in the moment, the layers that I selected were not planned in advance, so I thought this photo fit rather nicely.
Pattern:
The weirdest layer story. A co-worker of mine was bored and made a neat pattern out of cleaning liquid on a metal kitchen surface. I took a picture never expecting to use it, but a week or so later I wanted a nice backdrop for the first risoworks, and I thought this pattern would be really fitting. It frames the composition really well.
